Tourism Committee Meeting

For Chamber Members - by invitation only.

 

The objective of this group is to promote tourism in Moultrie and Colquitt County through the chamber and all available marketing outlets. It's also in charge of distributing grants to community events.

The Tourism Committee works hand-in-hand with all local attractions in promoting events whether it be a national diving meet or a PRCA rodeo. At the Sunbelt Ag Expo, this committee supports the Governor's Luncheon, which attracts thousands, and Exhibitor's Dinner, also thousands. Members have been working hard to develop a historical tourism program and to publish a book about Moultrie and Colquitt County as part of the elegant Arcadia Publishing's Images of America series.

This dynamic group of chamber members conducts group tours throughout the year and advertises events to promote tourism, particularly at the city's Spence Field, a retired air base.
