Retail Development Committee

The goal of the Retail Development Committee is to increase retail sales in the county by promoting local businesses and encouraging consumers to shop here. "Colquitt  Cash" is a particular focus of this committee. It’s a promotional currency which, for instance, can be distributed as holiday gifts and employee bonuses. It’s also a part of the committee’s Holiday Shop At Home campaign.

In addition, this busy group recognizes a retail business each month, holds various classes for business owners and managers and solicits support from educational institutions to conduct consumer marketing analysis for Moultrie and Colquitt County.

Retail Development also works with the Moultrie Main Street Program coordinating and promoting events that bring shoppers downtown.
